Vaquum builds and maintains an auditable, verifiable research and trading system, and trades with the firm's own capital. Open source is a first principle.

Closed-source trading systems are a structural contradiction to Bitcoin, a financial system built to eliminate counterparty risk. Maintaining the research and trading system as open source proves that the alpha does not live in the algorithms; it lives in the research and the thesis.

Paper-trade results ship together with a proof bundle (available Q3/26). The bundle allows anyone to run the exact same research, strategy composition, and trade execution.

The Vaquum module ecosystem is the third parametric closed-loop system the firm has built. Limen, the research engine, evolved from Talos — a hyperparameter optimization framework for Keras and TensorFlow. Talos is cited in more than 1,000 scientific papers and carried zero breaking bugs in six years.

From data mining to ontology mining

Bitcoin is simultaneously a computer network, a monetary protocol, a global liquidity venue, and a social coordination system. Tooling that models only the price series ignores the machinery that produces the price. Ontology-native modelling starts from what Bitcoin is.
